Born and raised in Irvine, California, 18 year old Bethany is a recent graduate of Northwood High School. She is an intern at Senator Bates' office (36th senate district) and is an SAT prep tutor as well. Bethany is a 3rd degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo. She will be attending the University of California, Irvine in the fall as a Music/Political Science double major.
As an avid pianist, Bethany first debuted at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall in 2015. In 2019, She also won 3rd prize at the Los Angeles Liszt Piano Competition, and in 2019 was a Prize Winner at the Glendale Piano Competition. Bethany has also appeared on the 2020 Graduate Together Show, hosted by Lebron James and featuring appearances from President Barack Obama. She has also been featured on news networks such as CBS and KCAL-9. She has collaborated with the Slovak State Opera Chamber Orchestra and performed in the Bratislava Hall of Mirrors and Zichy Palace, where the famed Franz Liszt has also debuted. In 2020, Bethany performed as an exhibitor guest for the Pearl River Piano Group at the National Association of Music Merchants Show, and most recently was named an Orange County Register Artist of the Year semifinalist. Bethany has volunteered for 8 years with the organization Stream of Praise, where she helps lead kids VBS camps and worship in Taiwan. She is also the executive senior advisor at the Opus Music Foundation, a non-profit organization that nurtures and develops young musicians to leave a positive impact within the self and in the community. She has also volunteered at Sheepfold, the Mariners food pantry, as well as the Chinese Baptist Church of Central Orange County. |
